The large rectangular chest decorated in black lacquer and inlaid mother-of-pearl with large rectangular panels of floral and geometric latticework within fret borders, on the top, two hinged doors, and two sides, the two doors opening to the single inner compartment and mounted with metal hinges and spring lock attached to the lockplate, and with a rectangular pull which is secured by the vertical bolt of the lock, also mounted with diamond-shaped edge fittings and bracket-shaped corner braces, back panel black, inner compartment unfinished wood
