Circa 1750, blue crossed swords mark, painter's 3. in black
Of lozenge shape with scroll handles and raised on four scroll feet, the cover with artichoke finial centering radiating cauliflower florets and flowering vines and moulded with shaped diaper panels flanking rocaille-moulded cartouches enriched in puce, pink and turquoise and enclosing colourful birds on branches, each end moulded and enriched in pink and turquoise with a rocaille shell below a painted loose bouquet, the tureen of serpentine form, moulded with a band of strapwork, the lower portion gadrooned and painted with similar flowers
