Nineteen albumen prints, 6¼ x 8¾ to 8¼ x 10¾ in., mounted back-to-back on album leaves, one with photographer's credit Gsell Photographe Saigon and two signed and numbered Feilberg in the negatives, the majority with printed title labels or manuscript captions in pencil on mounts; with a part album of eight albumen prints, each approx. 8¼ x 11 in., mounted one-per-page, six with printed title labels on mounts, a few additional photographs loosely inserted at end of album, half red leather, gilt, oblong 4to. Including two outdoor portraits of Bataks by Feilberg (see also lot 203); a composite promotional photograph showing a selection of carte-de-visite portraits on a view of Angkor Wat by Gsell; two portraits of Parsees and one of Japanese Ambassadors by Miller; a still-life of tropical fruits, another of nutmegs, three views of Batavia and a portrait group of Batavian servants (illus.) probably all by Woodbury & Page; views in and around Hong Kong and Canton, and a portrait of two Chinese actors.
