Two albums containing a total of approx. 285 albumen prints, ninety cartes-de-visite-size, other sizes approx. 4 x 6 in. to 10¼ x 13 in. or the reverse, several titled, numbered and credited Burton Bros. Dunedin in the negatives, variously mounted, one album with the majority titled in pencil on mounts, half black morocco (lacking spines, front and back covers detached), oblong 4to. (2)

Views and portraits around Java, Samoa, New Guinea, Tonga, Tahiti and China including plant and tree studies, three images of a volcano, architectural details, harbour views, village scenes, river views and a large quantity of individual and group portraits of the islanders in traditional dress including groups playing instruments, six of these among the ones by Woodbury and Page; eight men being hanged while spectators crowd around; several Chinese images including five portraits; traditional houses in New Guinea made of palm leaves and wood, one view of tree houses; a waterfall and a few art reproductions.
