with everted rims and short spreading feet, painted and gilt with shaped panels of retreats in snow covered river landscapes, ladies at leisure in interiors playing a variety of musical instruments and scholars and boys in rocky landscapes, all on grounds of multitudes of cranes in flight and within borders of floral and geometric motifs -- 3½in. (8.9cm.) high, signed Dai Nihon, Kaga, Kutani, Kaburagi seizo, Matsuoka ga.
