Oval box with tapering baluster sides, the cover, front and rear sides painted with Kauffartheÿ scenes in quatrefoil-shaped gold cartouches surrounded by gold Laub-und Bandelwerk, the left and right sides and base painted with cartouches containing similar scenes in purple camaïeu, the interior enamelled in turquoise blue, the reeded silver mounts with slightly raised thumbpiece
