THREE ROMAN MICRO-MOSAICS
Italian, circa 1800/1820
One, rectangular, depicting a classical ruin in an Italianate landscape, set on a gold-mounted Italian rectangular dark green serpentine snuff-box with rounded corners, another, oval, depicting the Vesta Temple at Tivoli, gold-mounted, set on the cover of a dark composition bonbonnière, and the third circular, depicting a white swan perched on a quiver and holding a bow in his left foot, by a shore background, under glass and framed in a gilt-metal mount within a square ebonized wood panel
the mosaics 64 mm. (2½ in.) and 58 mm. (2¼ in.) wide and 70 mm. (2¾ in.) diam. (3)
