Geneva, circa 1780, with prestige marks
Slightly tapering étui-à-cire of oval section, the cover and base engine-turned with four cartouches of horizontal reeding enamelled in translucent yellow and with brown trees simulating moss agate inclusions, framed by gold reeding on a rectangular opaque white enamelled ground bordered by bands of translucent orange enamel, the sablé borders chased with garlands of laurel twisted with ribbons, slightly domed top and plain gold matrix
