p. 61: Study for the watercolour 'Study of a male nude', lot 242.
p. 132: Study for the watercolour 'Nus masculins á la Boucher', lots 223, 224 and 225.
p. 63: Study for a portrait of Mrs Lucie Leon (1889-1972). Paul Leon, her husband, was the brother of Henriette Hirshman. This study led Somov to paint 'Seated woman in a black dress with white dots', a miniature he planned to add to his personal exhibition in London in 1930.

Album no. 4
Based on the dates and inscriptions, this album can be traced back to the time of the Académie de Grandvilliers, the description Somov used to describe the four artists (Uspensky, Krug, Budanova and Somov himself) who worked together to improve their skills and their technique in the field of drawing from nature.
