Bulgari Serpenti watches

Bulgari Serpenti watches fuse horology and elegant jewellery, built around the line's unmistakable serpent motif. The house's first bracelet-watch debuted in 1948, featuring a square head for the dial and a coiling body that wrapped fluidly around the wrist. Crafted using the Tubogas technique — assembled without soldering — the design achieved a seamless, flexible form.

Over time, the Bulgari Serpenti watch designs became more lifelike and ornate, with enamelled scales and gem-set eyes. The dial was also hidden inside the serpent’s head, revealed by a hinged lid. The watch reached cult status in 1962, when Elizabeth Taylor was photographed wearing hers on the set of Cleopatra.

The movements for these watches have historically come from leading manufacturers such as Jaeger-LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, though Bulgari now manufacture much in-house. The brand's distinctly Italian fusion of craftsmanship and innovation transforms Serpenti watches from a timepiece into wearable art.
