With octagonal sighted barrel with one line 'ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW-YORK CITY' and retaining slight traces of original blued finish, cylinder with naval engagement scene, frame with small 'COLTS PATENT' stamp, brass grip-strap and trigger-guard each retaining traces of original silvered finish, one-piece walnut grips (marked), and matching numbers throughout (iron parts discoloured)
