The arms are those of Galvez, of Castille, Aragon and Andalusia. See D. S. Howard and J. Ayers, op.cit., 1978, no.386, p.390 for a jardinire in the Mottahedeh Collection. Another jardinire, together with a circular tureen and cover from this service are in the Helena Woolworth McCann Collection at the Metropolitan Museum, New York, illustrated by J. G.
