A FAMILLE ROSE 'POMEGRANATE' WATERDROPPER
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The waterdropper is naturalistically modeled and enameled as a ripe fruit split on one side to reveal the seeds within, and the calyx forms an opening to the hollowed interior. Together with a famille rose double brushwasher, 18th/19th century, naturalistically modeled as two conjoined peaches borne on a leafy stem, with a bat resting on the rim of the larger peach; and a small flambé-glazed double-fish vase, 19th century.
3 7/8 and 4 7/8 in. (10 and 12.5 cm.) across; vase 5 1/8 in.(13.2 cm.) high (3)
