DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The square bowl has lobed corners and is decorated on the exterior in iron-red and gilding with a band of archaistic dragon scroll between petal lappet and ruyi borders, and the interior is molded with a gilt wickerwork pattern enclosing various flowers in famille rose enamels, while the base is glazed turquoise. Together with a yellow-glazed and iron-red dish, Tongzhi six-character seal mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1862-1874).
