In the style Japonaise, comprising a clock and a pair of five-light candelabra, the clock decorated with polychrome porcelain with flowers and birds against a turquoise cloisonné simulated ground, surmounted by a sea serpent, with pierced scrolling to the angles, the painted chapter ring with Japanese numerals, the twin barrel movement with Brocot suspension and rack striking on a gong, numbered 323 5.5 and stamped ‘C.CH’, striking on a gong, raised on elephant-head feet, the pair of vasiform candelabra en suite, the serpent-form candlearms with dragon’s heads, stamped to the underside 39671
