ATTRIBUTED TO MAISON BOISSIER, LAST QUARTER 19TH CENTURY
The sides of the larger box carved in imitation of strawwork, the top centred by an oval enamel medallion depicting a gentlemen smoking a cigar, the interior revealing a tray with several smoking utensils, cases and compartments, the glove box carved in the form of a leather trunk with gloves to the lid and buckled straps, lined in blue silk
The smoker's compendium: 8 7/8 in. (22.5 cm.) high; 13 in. (33 cm.) wide; 9 7/8 in. (34 cm.) deep
The glove box: 3 ½ in. (9 cm.) high; 12 in. (30 cm.) wide; 4 in. (11 cm.) deep
