A large bronze model of a warrior
Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Yoshimitsu on an inlaid metal reserve
Realistically cast as an archer preparing to shoot an arrow at his target, the bow and arrow cast separately, wearing ancient armor and a fur jacket underneath, his quiver worn at the right hip, long hair and beard blowing in the wind, standing on a wood base carved to resemble rocks, with brown patina, the signature to back-side of the right leg
42in. (106.7cm.) high without base; 56½in. (143.5cm.) high with original wood base
