with the charge and discharge marks of Jean-Jacques Prevost 1762-1768, maker's mark badly struck, later struck with the Dutch import mark for small gold works 1906-1953 and the Dutch post-1955 mark for 18-carat gold
Rectangular blue lacquer étui-à-tablettes, the obverse of cover applied with rose-cut diamond-set inscription SOUVENIR, the reverse cover with rose-cut diamond-set central glazed oval white silk medallion, the obverse and reverse of the base with pierced trophies chased in two-colour gold, the pierced gold mounts of sunburst and ribbon design, rose-cut diamond set thumbpiece
