A MEISSEN YELLOW-GROUND SUGAR-BOWL AND COVER
CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
Each side reserved with quatrefoil panels painted with estuary scenes with buildings and ships, with merchants at various pursuits by cargo and tents, within quatrefoil gilt bands, the domed cover with similar panels flanking a gilt branch finial applied with coloured flowers and foliage (slight wear to rim, cover with slight chipping to finial, minute wear to rim)
