With three-stage barrel struck with a series of four marks beneath the breech, one the conjoined initials 'HF' (the remainder indistinct), exposed action on the left-hand side, hollow butt with separate domed cap with pierced brattished border, plain trigger-guard, small ramrod-pipes, and ramrod with swelling moulded tip.
