A Pair Of 56-Bore Austrian Flintlock Turn-Over Pistols

With slender barrels retaining some blued finish, released by a baluster catch in front of the trigger-guard, and each secured by a figure-eight iron ring at the muzzle, the rear of each breech engraved with parallel bands and a spray of foliage, engraved tangs, signed flat bevelled back-action locks engraved with characteristic flowers and foliage (one pan and steel assembly expertly replaced), figured walnut full stocks (small chip from one fore-end), flattened butts (minor bruising) each with a raised panel at the barrel tang and with old Gewehrkammer labels numbered respectively '39' and '40', oval pommels bound with iron and with ebony cap and iron button, foliate engraved iron trigger-guards, iron ramrod-pipes (one missing), and original iron-capped ramrods (tip of one ramrod missing)
