A RARE PARCEL-GILT BRONZE MINIATURE DOUBLE VASE
QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER INSCRIBED MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
In the form of two ovoid vases of different heights standing side by side, finely cast around the sides with angular dragon scroll, the forequarters and head of one dragon arched above the smaller vase to touch the rim of the taller, each with a band of cicada blades pendent from a rope-twist band around the neck interrupted on the smaller vase by a pair of elephant-head and ring handles and on the taller by a pair of mask and ring handles, all highlighted by gilding in contrast to the dark olive-brown ground
