By descent until sold in 1935 with Hackwood to William Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose (d.1954).

The arms are those of Willaim Orde-Powlett, 2nd Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle.
The fireback is of the standard pattern used to replace the late 17th century firebacks (lots 131-134) when the house was altered and enlarged, and all the chimneypieces replaced, in 1810-13. Most of the firebacks of this pattern remain in situ in existing ground floor rooms.
