An oval shinchu tsuba with a symmetrical design of two dragons and a jewel among interlaced tendrils enclosed in a bamboo-shaped rim, black lacquered overall, Canton style; an oval shinchu tsuba decorated in shakudo takazogan with a little owl pursuing a bat on the reverse, the crescent moon in silver, signed Buntokusai Sadataka, 19th Century; and another decorated in nikubori with rokaku sansui [pavillions in a sea and mountain landscape], signed Choshu Hagi ju Kawaji Masatsugu saku, 18th Century
