Geneva, circa 1830/1840
Oval box with scalloped outlines, the cover and base centred by oval reserves with scalloped borders enamelled with colourful flower bouquets on ledges against a translucent red guilloché ground, surrounded by a turquoise blue enamel band with taille d'épargne translucent red and blue enamelled flowerheads and engraved with gold foliage, within white enamel borders, the outer raised silver border of the lid applied with rose-cut diamonds, the scalloped sides enamelled with flowers and trophies, the inside of the cover set with an oval enamel panel painted with a basket of fruit on a ledge against a green ground, enamelled scalloped outer gold flange
