A YELLOW AND GREEN ENAMELLED 'DRAGON AND PHOENIX' BOWL
JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OR THE PERIOD(1522-1566)
The bowl is incised to the exterior with a dragon, two phoenix and a crane in flight amongst ruyi-head shaped clouds, all above a band of stylized lappets and a band of of leafy tendrils. The interior is incised with central roundel enclosing a shou character and clouds.
5 ½ in. (14 cm.) wide.
