Islamic jurisprudence, Arabic manuscript on cream paper, 308ff. with 29ll. of black naskh, text outlined with red and blue rules, titles in gold, minor headings in red, title folio with titles in silver naskh within gold panels highlighted with gold arabesques, inscription within shamsa recording the name of the owner and scribe (partly erased) highlighted with gold and polychrome floral decoration. the opening folio with the bismallah in gold with gold floral panels, the end of each of the four parts with a colophon illuminated with gold floral illumination, colophons on f. 77r., f.234v. and f. 308v. (one lacking), final folio dated 20 Rabi 'II 746 and signed by the scribe Hibatullah ibn Yahya ibn Muhammad known as 'Imad al-Khatib, in original brown morocco binding with tooled medallion, manuscript loose from binding, water damage and staining
