Gouache heightened with gold on paper, the prophets Khizr and Ilyas, both wearing bright gold-illuminated robes kneel before the fountain of life as their horses graze beyond them, a rocky landscape behind from which Alexander and others look on, some holding torches, two couplets by Hafiz arranged above and below the miniature, gold titles above and below from Yusuf wa Zulaykha, laid down between dark blue border with fold floral illumination and further nasta'liq couplets, on light blue margins with gold floral and animal illumination, mounted
