The tapering facetted handle with foliate scroll decorated gilt-metal mounts, supporting the revolving seal, one face cut with an initial 'V' below a Royal coronet, another cut 'Victoria' and the final cut with a cypher
8 7/8 in. (73 mm.) long
The initials and name are presumably for Princess Victoria (1840-1901), eldest daughter of Queen Victoria (1837-1901), wife of King Frederick III of Prussia, Emperor of Germany.
