The obverse with a standing draped female and a nude winged Eros, the female to the right holding a filleted thyrsos and a wreath, Eros seated to the left on a rocky outcrop, a cista in his raised left hand, an altar in between them, a window, a rosette and a phiale in the field; the reverse with two standing draped youths each with a staff, a stele in between them, a writing tablet above; a band of stopt meander and dotted squares encircling below; laurel below the rim, palmettes below the handles; vertical lines around the handle plates; details in added white and yellow

Provenance
Nikos Paschalis, grandson of the founder of the Paschalion Archaeophylakeion Museum, Samos, acquired in Palestine or Egypt between 1938-1945; thence by descent to his sister, Assimina Paschalis, and imported into Melbourne, Australia, 1965; thence by descent.
