The circular grey fossil marble top above a plain frieze and three scrolling foliate supports terminating in lion's mask feet and joined by a central vase-shaped body with bulrushes and a flaming finial, on brass castors, stamped three times CHAPUIS and once 19 within a triple hexagonal mark, some bulrush-leaves lacking
