SIGNED AHMAD AL-NAYRIZI, SAFAVID IRAN, DATED AH 1121/1709-10 AD
Containing prayers to be recited in the morning, arabic manuscript on paper, 9ff. each with 9ll. of strong black naskh in clouds reserved against gold ground with polychrome floral illumination, occasional lines in red, text panels outlined with polychrome rules and laid down on card between variously coloured borders, two illuminated headpieces, colophon signed and dated, each folio now separate but backed with marbled paper
Text panel 5 5/8 x 3 1/8in. (14.2 x 8cm.); folio 7¼ x 5 1/8in. (18.5 x 13.1cm.)
