With curved single-edged fullered blade, possibly an Eastern European working replacement, double-edged at the point and etched over its entire length on each side with a snake, scrollwork, an arm brandishing a scimitar, a sunburst and a crescent moon, iron guard comprising broad quillon-block chiselled on the outer face with a mask and foliage on the reverse, and vertically recurved flattened quillons each with lion-head terminal, short cylinderical green-stained rayskin-covered grip bound with wire and with narrow Turk's heads, and large copper-braized iron pommel cast and chiselled in the form of a lion's head
