WINSTON CHURCHILL'S COPY. Inscribed at top of title by his schoolmistress, Miss Thomson, 'W. Churchill March 3rd 1887' (when he was 12 years old). Some underlining in pencil throughout the book. After having spent 4 unhappy years at St George's in Ascot, Churchill was transferred to a school in Brighton, run by Kate and Charlotte Thomson.
