FIRST EDITION OF GENET’S RAREST BOOK, AND ONE OF THE BEST 20TH-CENTURY HOMOEROTIC BOOKS, with fine and explicit lithographs by Roland Caillaux (1905-1977), his best-known work. One of 115 copies only, this one number 96. Although Genet never acknowledged authorship, the themes and poems relate very clearly to Notre-Dame des fleurs, published in 1943. WorldCat locates just one, incomplete copy at the Harry Ransom Center. Dutel 2624.
