Lot Essay

This model was produced in a limited edition of 500 examples and launched in 1996.

The Reverso model, launched in 1931, is the world longest-running watch model. Essentially unchanged for more than 60 years, the Reverso continues to flourish both as a modern timepiece and as one of the few original Art Deco objects still in use.

The realization of the Retrograde Chronograph took the company nearly two years. It's complexity obliged Jaeger-LeCoultre to use a double dial: one side for the usual time, date and power reserve indication, the other for the chronograph and register functions.
