The deep indigo mihrab with a central muted polychrome stylized floral pendant spray beneath a stepped putty-grey tendril vine-filled arch and reciprocal cloudband reserves above and below, all within a cream border of muted polychrome stylized floral sprays, multiple guard stripes, restorations throughout, areas of tinting, linen backed
Approximately 6ft.7in. x 4ft.2in. (201cm. x 127cm.)
Warp: cotton, ivory, Z2S, slightly layered and undulating
Weft: 2 shoots, one slightly undulating, the other more strongly, cotton, ivory, Z2S
Pile: wool, Z2-3,cotton, Z2S,ivory, symmetrical inclining to the left, H3.4 x V5.2/cm.
Sides: Additional yellow and blue-green wool shoot, Z2, bound together with a foundation shoot and two additional pairs of warp threads.
