The intense dark green field with diagonal rows of rose flowerheads flanked by radiating smaller flowerheads and leaves, in a shaded dark green border of small similar floral sprays with inner steel-blue hooked vine stripe, braided ends, very small repairs, slight lighter stain in field
Approximately 9ft.5in. x 5ft.3in. (286cm. x 160cm.)
Warp: ivory wool, Z2S, strongly undulating
Weft: 1 shoot brown or mauve wool, Z2S, undulating
Pile: wool, Z2, symmetrical inclining to the left, to the right, or neither, H2.5 x V3.5/cm.
Sides: main wefts and additional blue weft Z2S flatwoven around three additional pairs of warps
Lower end: four rows soumac woven in blue wool Z2S, then groups of four warps knotted in a lattice
Upper end: as the lower but with three rows
