With lightly swamped barrels each chiselled at the breech with overlapping mouldings, stamped with a mark, a crowned heraldic shield in the European manner, and inlaid with silver foliage, the sighting rib inlaid with a silver calligraphic inscription, plain tangs, rounded locks, the pans with water drains, lightly carved full stocks, full white-metal mounts including pierced foliate side-plates and escutcheons, spurred pommels each with prominent scallop design in relief, fore-end caps, and separate false ramrods, the barrels each secured by two barrel-bolts
