With sighted barrel signed in gold on the sighting flat at the breech and retaining faint traces of gilt decoration at the muzzle and breech, the underside of the breech stamped with the barrelsmith's signature 'I. P. Journet Le Cadet', signed flat bevelled lock with stepped tail (cock a working replacement), lightly carved full stock, lightly engraved iron mounts including spurred pommel with silver cap cast and chased with a warrior's head, vacant rococo silver escutcheon, and later ramrod
