DATED 1846

With barrels damascened over their entire length with close-set scrolls and with median ridge and shaped muzzle, the breeches each stamped with a gold-lined maker's mark, gold-damascened locks also stamped with a gold-lined maker's mark, the cocks with their original leathers, full stocks entirely covered with grained black leather set with applied nielloed silver panels, three nielloed silver barrel bands, nielloed silver back-straps inscribed in niello 'Amal i Umar 1262 A.H.' ('the work of Omar 1846 A.D.), gold-damascened button triggers, and compressed spherical ivory pommels each with nielloed silver cap bearing an iron eye-hole fitted with a loop of blue and gold silk
