A 20-BORE TURKISH FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL, A PERSIAN STEEL CIRCULAR DHAL, AND A PERSIAN BRASS BAZU BAND

ALL 19TH CENTURY

The first with iron barrel decorated at the muzzle and breech with later brass plaques with polychrome enamelled human heads, trophies, crescent moons and foliage, carved wooden full stock, brass mounts including side-plate and trigger-guard enamelled en suite with the barrel, and false ramrod; the second with four gold-damascened circular steel bosses, the outer face with gold-damascened foliate borders framing panels etched with Persepolitan court scenes, the outer border with rounded panels containing silver-damascened decorative inscriptions; the last chiselled in bas-relief on the outside with numerous Persian horsemen within a border of engraved arabesques
