With two-stage barrel with shaped octagonal muzzle, octagonal breech overlaid with a nielloed silver panel carrying the back-sight, and retained by numerous nielloed silver, brass and brass-wire bands, the butt decorated with overlaid shaped nielloed silver panels, silver panels embossed with stippling, and five polychrome enamelled panels, three set with a piece of red glass, all retained by silver nails, and with pierced brass trigger-guard overlaid with nielloed silver set with a further piece of red glass (ramrod missing)
