The first with heavily rifled swamped octagonal barrel inscribed in silver 'En Placencia Por el Examinador Bustindui Año de 1847', scroll engraved tang, lock and mounts, and walnut half-stock with chequered butt, the fore-end tip carved with a shell in relief; the second with signed octagonal sighted barrel etched with foliage and scrollwork, the cylinder, frame and trigger-guard etched en suite, with chequered walnut grips, and lanyard ring on the butt, nickel-plated finish throughout
