FIRST EDITION of a treatise on the causes and effects of the tides. The 4 leaves printed recto only are in fact volvelles, and designed to be cut out and attached to the relevant diagrams. The second treatise on the movement of the celestial spheres begins at F1. The work was published posthumously, having been edited by the Accademia and dedicated to Cardinal François de Tournon.
