The blade iorimune, honzukuri, strong curve (koshi-zori), tightly forged itame, re-tempered edge of ko-choji midare with ashi and yo, strong choji-utsuri throughout the blade, chu-maru boshi, tang cut in the form of slight tanago bara with two holes, signed Bishu Osafune Kagemitsu, 69.7cm., in shirasaya; the mounts roiro-nuri lacquered scabbard, all the kanagu in Goto style, shakudo nanako tsuba with gilt kiri-mon in takazogan, kozuka and kogai en suite with the design of a measuring stick in gilt, kiri mon above and below, late Muromachi period (15th/16th Century), a pair of menuki of matching kiri-mon Edo period (18th Century)
