The flared cup with papyrus scroll handle, painted with a view of the Stefansdom in Vienna named in black on the underside Vue de la cathédrale/de St. Etienne à Vienne, the saucer with a view of Vienna from the Belvedere similarly inscibed Vue de la ville de Vienne, prise du château du Belvèdère on gold grounds engraved with classical foliage (some losses to gilding of saucer at 11 o'clock), blue shield marks and impressed date code 819 for 1819 and 7 for Simon Bayer (2)
