The flared cup with scroll handle, with a view of Schönbrunn named in black on the base Vue du château J.R./de Schönbrunn,/près de Vienne, the gilt-ground with a band of trailing ivy and classical foliage (slight wear to the gilding of saucer, minor chip to rim beside handle and crack at top of handle), blue shield mark, impressed date code 831 for 1831 to saucer and 820 for 1820 to cup, 12 and 74, gilder's mark .19 for Franz Schnell to saucer and 137. for Josef Geyer to cup
