Two Meissen teabowls and a saucer
Circa 1728
Painted with scenes of figures in coastal landscapes loading and unloading cargoes from sailing boats and ships within quatrefoil cartouches with gilt-scroll, Böttger lustre and Laub-und-Bandelwerk borders, the interior rims painted with broad gilt foliate borders and the interiors of the teabowls with sprays of indianische Blumen (one teabowl with seven and the other with two very small footrim chips, wear to gilding), blue crossed swords marks, gilder's 65., Dreher's two circles to teabowls and to footrim of saucer (3)
