The silvered dial signed S. Smith & Son, 9 Strand, London. 7990 with Roman numerals, blued steel hour and minute hands, similar hands for the subsidiary seconds and up-and-down rings, Earnshaw escapement (altered) with Poole's auxiliary balance with circular heat compensation weights, Palladium helical balance spring, brass gimbal and bowl numbered 264, brass-bound mahogany box with flush recessed handles to the sides and bone ivory rectangular plaque to the front signed S. Smith & Son, 9. Strand, 7990; with Thomas Mercer Repair Rate Certificate dated 27 October 1972 signed MH Evans
